Adam & HaleyRae first met on Friday, January 6th, 2017, when HaleyRae was working for the Los Angeles Lakers NBA team as a brand ambassador. Adam had received free tickets as a member of the US Marine Corps living on base at Camp Pendleton in San Diego County, California, to that night’s game against the Miami Heat. In that game, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Miami Heat 127-100. Adam stayed in Los Angeles, California, the rest of the weekend until 3:00 am the following Monday to get to know HaleyRae better.

Adam & HaleyRae’s first official date was the following weekend at SeaWorld San Diego. HaleyRae stayed on base at Camp Pendleton for the first time that weekend. From then on, they spent every weekend from Friday afternoon until 3:00 am on Monday together.

In April 2017, the Cannell Family had a family reunion in Phoenix, Arizona. That was the first time Adam got to meet all of HaleyRae’s immediate family and the extended Cannell family. He won everyone over when he introduced the Cannell Family to the game “Telestrations.” Grandpa Mel was hilariously terrible at this game!

On Saturday, April 29th, 2017, HaleyRae’s roommate threw an epic mansion party for HaleyRae’s 26th birthday. This was the first time Adam got to meet all of HaleyRae’s Los Angeles friends.

In June 2017, Adam’s immediate family came to Southern California for a visit, and that was the first time HaleyRae got to meet Adam’s parents and siblings.

On Friday, September 22nd, 2017, Adam let HaleyRae know he wanted and planned to spend the rest of his life with her.

On Sunday, October 1st, 2017, Adam & HaleyRae both agreed to spend the rest of their lives together, but publicly getting engaged and hosting a wedding weekend were not necessary or important at that time.

On Monday, January 15th, 2018, Adam & HaleyRae moved into their own unit together, just the two of them, in the Royal Palm in Beverly Hills, California 90210. Shortly afterwards, Adam left the US Marine Corps. At the same time, HaleyRae slowly built her own business, planning and hosting VIP parties & events while still working in the entertainment industry. Adam used two years of his Post 9/11 GI Bill to get a diploma in automotive engineering & technology from the Los Angeles Trade Technical College in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Afterwards, he was recruited to the Mercedes-Benz DRIVE school in Long Beach, California, and was subsequently offered a position at Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills, which was only a seven-minute walk from their home. This allowed Adam & HaleyRae to eat lunch together every day!

On Friday, February 2nd, 2018, Adam & HaleyRae adopted their first fur baby, a five-year-old white Turkish Angora cat with blue eyes, named Lola, who had been dumped and abandoned twice in her life already.

On Tuesday, April 10th, 2018, Adam & HaleyRae adopted their second fur baby, an 8-week-old blonde Pomeranian puppy with brown eyes, whom Adam named Rocket. Rocket came from an illegal backyard breeder that was going to dump or destroy him because he was the “standard throwback size” of his litter and couldn’t be sold as a mini-micro teacup purse dog, so he wasn’t worth anything to him. Adam and Rocket went through 18 months of training together so that Rocket could be Adam’s veteran service dog.

On Tuesday, August 20th, 2019, Adam & HaleyRae adopted their third fur baby, a 10-week-old black long-haired domestic kitten with green eyes. Adam named him Leo. Leo was part of a litter of kittens found at a school.

After five years together, Adam had helped and supported HaleyRae to accomplish everything on her bucket list. Now, Adam didn’t have a bucket list, but the one thing he really wanted was to buy a house. So HaleyRae put all her time and energy into finding a dream house for Adam and a new place of work, if that meant moving cities.

Friday, April 29th, 2022, was HaleyRae’s 31st birthday, and on that day they finally closed escrow on their dream house in Ventura Country Club, Orlando, Florida. That same day, Adam surprised HaleyRae with a trip back down to SeaWorld San Diego to celebrate in the same place they had their first official date. Not only that, but Adam also arranged a private meet-and-greet with Macaroni, the penguin! Talking directly to and petting a real-life penguin was so cool, but they still weren’t done... Then they got to go into the actual penguin exhibit with over 300 penguins! The temperature inside the exhibit had to be recreated to match the exact conditions of Antarctica for the best health and well-being of the penguins. It was 25 degrees Fahrenheit (-3.88889 Celsius for all their non-American friends and family). Needless to say, they were FREEZING, but it was so worth it! Just when HaleyRae thought her 31st birthday present couldn’t get any better, Adam got down on one knee in front of the 300+ penguins and everyone watching the exhibit from behind the glass, and after 5+ years together, Adam asked HaleyRae to marry him! Of course, HaleyRae said yes because she’s always known Adam was her best friend and life partner for as long as they live, whether or not they ever decided to have a wedding.

At 3:00 am on Friday, May 13th, 2022, Adam & HaleyRae said their hardest goodbye ever as they left behind an entire life they had built together in Beverly Hills, California, 90210.

With a lot of help from Adam’s Dad, Tom, they packed their entire lives into one Penske truck and one car and drove 2,528 miles over 36 hours all the way to their new house in Ventura Country Club, Orlando, Florida. They arrived on Sunday, May 15th, 2022. Adam now works for Mercedes-Benz Orlando, and HaleyRae built a business in real estate.

In October 2025, Adam & HaleyRae got heavily involved in animal rescue by advocating, fostering, networking, transporting, and volunteering. The animal crisis in the USA is so overwhelmingly vast and severe that, for their mental health, they focus specifically only on kill-listed dogs with deadlines at their local Orange County Animal Services shelter in Orlando, Florida. For fostering purposes, they are very limited, so they are solely focused on senior fospice cases that no one else will take. They know this is their true calling and purpose in this life because there is nothing more heartbreaking or rage-inducing than the treatment of animals in America and the human-created crisis they are fighting locally every day. Saving an animal’s life is the highest high, and losing one is the lowest low. It’s the most rewarding experience and the best thing they have ever done and will ever do.

They look forward to celebrating their wedding weekend with all of their family and friends on Saturday, April 24th, 2027!
